Ethiopia
Ethiopia

Ethiopia lies between the Equator and the tropic of Capricorn. Its area is 1,112,000 square kilometers. Most parts of it are elevated plateau rising from 2100-4620 meters. It is divided in to climate regions marked as highlands, midland, lowlands and the peculiar “danakil depression” which at some point’s mountains, imposing peaks, alluring and glamorous gorges, ravishing tablelands, verdant pasture-lands, luxuriant tropical regions and the magnificent rift valley are some of its physical formations. Splendid landscapes, sparsely wooded semi-desert tracts, tremendous and unfamiliar physical relief, and the infrequent wilderness are some of the captivating, astonishing and outlandish attractions that Ethiopia offers. As a land of great physical contrast, its different territories are scenic and awe-inspiring. The innumerable, magnificent crater lakes characterize by their aquatic life, the alarming abysses, the interweaving rivers, the enticing and graceful waterfalls, the extraordinary savannah, the unusual wild domains and the bounteous country are mystery-surrounded and bizarre. The extensive national parks, game reserves and sanctuaries shelter a great member of wildlife species. Ethiopia is anchored in an ancient, cultured society. It is the heir of an eminent, marvelous history. The rich culture of its affluent society is prominent. Its societies comprise a mosaic of over 80 ethnic groups. A sumptuous culture and profuse traditional flourished here for millennia. The close contacts if these various social communities are symbolic of its divers legacies. The virtuous patrimonies of these societies ever endeared its indelible cultural and social history. There are great and formidable stelae, timeless monuments, prehistoric cave- paintings, exotic rock-hewn churches, old monasteries, castles, mosques, temples and other shrines which harbour and shield all sorts of irreplaceable. The 3.5 million year old skeleton of lucy, the oldest maiden in the human race,Ramidus, the 4.4 million years remains of lucy’s ancestors, the 1.7 million year old tools of the primitive man are some of the rare relics preserved in the archaeological and ethnological museums of Addis. Ethiopia offers these and other dream haven treasures and inheritances. What is most astonishing is that Ethiopia is Abyssinian of yore, with romantic names like queen of Sheba, Prester John, Loin of Judan and Rasselas.  These names build an improbable land, nor a reality and, therefore, will surprise yourself one day by saying, “ I am going to Ethiopia.”
Few Information about Ethiopia
Ethiopia
offers a wide scope for enjoying an invigoration climate and has excellent facilities for sightseeing, mountaineering, hunting, fishing motoring, photography, swimming, and surprisingly enough for studying an ancient civilization. Few other countries offer such facilities. Ethiopia is one of the most colorful countries in the world. It has towering mountains, cool temperate uplands, tropical lowlands, hot deserts, lakes, forests full of wild game, ruins of monuments dating from the past 2000 years, rock-hewn churches, ancient monasteries, fashionable spas, picturesque native life and nomadic culture in its most natural background.

Physical Features
The structure is unique. The central region is a vast plateau with an altitude varying from 6000 to 9000 ft. topped by heights reaching up to 15,000 ft it is cool and well watered. On the west and northeast the land is low-lying and dry.
Religion

The national food of Ethiopia consists of “injera and wot” a spicy curry prepared with meat. The local beverages are “ tella”(local beer), “tej” (mead) and “arekie” (liquor).

Women wear long dresses with full skirts made of white cotton with colored borders. Ethiopian style of clothing is commonly worn nowadays by most Ethiopian ladies.
Climate
The climate of the central highlands is temperate. These highlands are cool while the low-lying areas are hot. There are intermittent small reins from April to May and the rainy season runs from June to September. The rainfall decreases northwards. On the eastern and centeral parts of the plateau, the temperature is uniform throughout the year with little variations. The climate is dependant on the physical terrain and its position close to the Red see and the Indian Ocean, but for much of the year it is warm and pleasant in low-laying areas and cool and bracing in the highlands. There are 2 principal seasons, rainy from June-September (although the sun still shines on most days), and dry for the rest of the year, just perfect for discovering the riches of Ethiopia.

History
