Dear Tsegaab/Abita –

We are writing to say a big ‘thank you’ for giving us such a wonderful holiday in Ethiopia and so capably looking after us.

Because we live on the Gold Coast, Australia, which is described by many as the ‘holiday capital of Australia’, we had high expectations and were wondering if we had made the right choice to go to Ethiopia for our 2009 vacation – relying upon the recommendation of an acquaintance.

The holiday you arranged did not disappoint and our acquaintance’s recommendation was an understatement of everything we experienced.

Sunny-land Ethiopia Tours attended to every detail of our fourteen day tour in a very professional and friendly way. We can say without a doubt that it was the most exciting, interesting, and wonderful holiday we have so far experienced. We were at all times amazed with your ability to make us feel ‘at home’ from the first moment we stepped off the plane at Addis Ababa right through to our leaving to return to Australia.

Travelling by road from Addis Ababa to Kombolcha, Lalibela, Mekelle, Axum, and returning via the beautiful Simien Mountains, visiting the castles of Gondar, boating on Lake Tana and seeing the amazing Blue Nile Falls, provided us with a ‘close up’ experience of just some of the many historic and wonderful things Ethiopia has to offer. Our only regret was we did not have time to see more.

Some of the things we appreciated so much were –

• Your ability to be able to answer, in so much detail and with so much knowledge, almost any question we put to you about the things we saw and the places we went to.
• Nothing seemed to be a problem for you or our driver Taye.
• You and Taye could not do enough for us to ensure we were comfortable and being well looked after.
• Your giving us an opportunity to experience the ‘real’ Ethiopia and Ethiopian people, rather than a superficial visitor’s tourist trip such as we have experienced on other occasions when we have been to other overseas countries on holidays.

For the entire fourteen day tour every day in Ethiopia was for us a new and exciting adventure and so much fun. Such pleasure would not have been possible without the care and attention we received from you and Taye.

We don’t think we will ever forget the wonderful time you provided for us. We came home with some wonderful photos and memories of our time in Ethiopia.

We will be back.
